The IEA-R Handle is a stylish, high-leverage, inject/eject handle which will operate flawlessly in the most demanding of hands. Its intuitive, Ergonomical design provides a unique snap locking action that provides a positive feel and sound when actuated into the open or hot-swap mode.

The IEA-R handle now ships fully assembled – the bushing block, spring & handle are held in the fixed, final assembled position for quick and easy installation to the PCB.

 Fully-Assembled

The IEA-R handle now ships fully-assembled for quick and easy assembly of a PCB to a front panel. The hardware components are held together by a transporter piece which keeps the bushing block, spring, and handle in the fixed final assembled position. Once the PCB is installed, simply pull on the round piece and discard.

 Spring-Loaded

The IEA-R handle now ships with a spring-loaded die-cast bearing block. The addition of the spring allows for a smooth operation of the handle. In addition, the spring forces the handle to stay in the Open Position until inserted into the card deck.

 Ergonomic, aesthetically pleasing design

The handle provides a distinct look, feel and action that gives the user added confidence in using the handle. The handle will feel secure to the user in any condition due to the ergonomic design that applies finger grooving and ridges in the proper location for safe and convenient use.

 Intuitive Functionality

The two tone color design clearly identifies the proper location to initially push the handle button for hot-swap activation.

 Unique Customization Options

ATCA front panels typically require a type of serial bar code label or identification. Schroff has made board identification easy by providing an area on the IEA handle for an ID label or optional plastic cover to distinguish the board as needed.

 Positive locking with audible click

Wear and tear of the push-button ?hook' has been eliminated by a unique snap locking technique that gives the user a positive feel and audible sound that confirms that the handle has been actuated into the open or hot-swap mode. The latch continues to remain in this open position even while the board is removed or serviced and only snaps back closed when the user pushes the handle into the final locking or closed position.

At this point, the hook drops down automatically and securely fastens to the front panel without rubbing or sliding along the edge of the panel and thus does not wear out over time like other handles in the market today. The automatic latching mechanism gives the user a positive locking feel and audible noise that gives them the feedback they need that confirms that the handle and board is securely fastened to the system.

 Push-button hot-swap activation

An integrated spring activated push-button provides the unique snap locking technique that gives the user a positive feel and audible sound that confirms the handle has been actuated into the open or hot-swap mode.

The latch continues to remain in this open position even while the board is removed or serviced and only snaps back closed when the user pushes the handle into the final locking or closed position. The handle and push-button activation is stiff enough to avoid accidental activation by light brushing (finger, cable, tool, etc.) or shock and vibration.

 Robust and reliable construction

The durable construction design exceeds the 250 cycle testing without any noticeable wear or degradation in the performance of handle and ensures ease of insertion and extraction of the AdvancedTCA board each time.
